At Gingerbread Aesthetic, microneedling is led by the Dermapen 4 — the industry gold standard device, trusted by clinicians worldwide for its precision, consistency and results.
The Dermapen 4 delivers highly controlled needling through a 16-needle cartridge with adjustable depth and speed settings, creating thousands of uniform micro-channels in the skin. This triggers the body's natural healing response, stimulating new collagen and elastin production for firmer, smoother, more refined skin — with improvements in texture, tone, fine lines and scarring.
For our combination treatments, we use the Fusion Platinum Pen in a supporting role. Paired with the Express Hydrofacial or Biorepeel, the Fusion Pen's micro-channels allow those treatments' actives to penetrate significantly deeper into the skin than topical application alone — amplifying the resurfacing and regenerative effect considerably.

What to Expect
Consultation
Natalia will assess your skin and treatment area, discuss your concerns and recommend the most appropriate treatment — standalone microneedling, or one of the enhanced combination options.
Preparation
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied 30–45 minutes before the treatment begins to ensure your comfort throughout. The skin is cleansed and prepared for treatment.
The treatment
The Dermapen 4 is passed over the treatment area in a methodical pattern. Needle depth and speed are precisely adjusted by Natalia based on the area and concern being treated. Most clients experience mild pressure and warmth.
Immediately after
Redness and mild swelling are normal and typically resolve within 24–48 hours. Avoid makeup, heat and exercise for 24 hours. The skin will be more sensitive to sun exposure for several days.
Results
Initial improvements are visible within 2–4 weeks as new collagen forms. Results continue to improve for up to 3–6 months. A course of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart delivers the most significant results.
Aftercare
Keep the skin clean and moisturised. Avoid active skincare ingredients (retinol, AHAs, vitamin C) for 48–72 hours. Use a high SPF sunscreen daily. Full written aftercare instructions are provided.
