Some of the best results in skincare come not from a single treatment, but from pairing complementary technologies so each one works better because of the one before it. One of our favourite combinations is Geneo oxygenation, microneedling and LED light therapy in a single session.
Step one: Geneo oxygenation
We start by preparing the skin with Geneo, which uses the Bohr Effect — creating a carbon dioxide-rich environment on the skin's surface that signals the body to send oxygen-rich blood to the treated area. This increases cellular metabolism and microcirculation, getting the skin ready to respond to what comes next.
Step two: microneedling
With the skin already oxygenated, we move to microneedling. Because oxygen is the fuel cells need to rebuild, the micro-channels created by needling trigger a faster, more noticeable healing response than they would on their own — improving skin density, fine lines and acne scarring.
Step three: LED light therapy
Microneedling naturally creates some redness and inflammation. We finish with LED light therapy — Red and Near-Infrared wavelengths that soothe the skin, reduce redness, boost cellular energy production and further support collagen synthesis. You leave with skin that's been deeply treated, but looks calm and glowing rather than irritated.
Who this combination suits
This layered approach is well suited to advanced signs of ageing, a dull or tired complexion, uneven texture and enlarged pores, and sun damage or hyperpigmentation — and because the oxygenation and LED steps reduce the typical downtime of microneedling, most clients experience only a mild, short-lived flush afterwards.
